Of mixed French, Swiss, and Austrian descent, Karla attended high school in both Las Vegas and Texas. Kush not only participated in theater in high school, but also was a figure skater for a year and a half. Karla lost her virginity at age fourteen. Kush moved to Seattle, Washington at age eighteen and married an Army officer who she divorced a few years later.
